Hedgehog homework
Friday 23 Oct 2015 09:08am
This week, I thought a little kinaesthetic homework to show what we had learned about animals, plants and their habitats would be fun. On Tuesday, I was delighted to find adverts for hedgehog homes in homework books alongside being able to share models of the homes that the children and their families had built. I was optimistic when I set the homework and the children exceeded my expectations, so a huge thank you for your support. I hope that you all enjoyed making the hedgehog homes. The children certainly showed what they have learned about the needs of a hedgehog in terms of shelter, food and water.
Homework for the holidays is to write a review of a book or film. I would like the children to explain who the main character was, what they liked about the story or adventure and then make a poster persuading other children to read or see it.
There will also be a spelling test based on the spellings I have asked the children to learn in the first half term and a times table test so please use the domino game I sent home a couple of weeks ago.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. I look forward to seeing you all on November 2nd.
