Van Gogh's Sunflowers

We have been learning all about a famous Dutch painter called Vincent Van Gogh.  Van Gogh was born many years ago in 1853 and he completed over two hundred different paintings but at the time no one was interested in his work.  Many years after his death in 1890, at the age of only 37, people started to become interested in his work and today some of his paintings are worth millions of pounds.  One of his most famous paintings was of a vase of sunflowers which he painted in 1888 and today we painted our own sunflower pictures. Some of us even signed our names on the vase just as Vincent did.
