Scarecrow Making

This year Sandal Magna entered into the Sandal Scarecrow festival and each class had a go at making a superhero scarecrow! In Year One we looked at lots of pictures of scarecrows and then had a go at designing a scarecrow ourselves. We had so many fabulous designs it was really hard to choose so instead we decided to take different bits of some designs and put them together. We used tights, shredded paper, bubble wrap, bamboo sticks, old clothes and lots of hard work and team work to make our scarecrow. Everyone had a chance to make a part and when we put him together we were all pleased with how super he looked. 

The scarecrows are spending the weekend at Sandal Cricket Club where lots of people can come and have a look at them. Please take some photos if anyone goes to see them as we would love to see them in school! Below are some pictures of the fun we had.
