Friends of Sandal Magna Blog

Friends of Sandal Magna are the fundraising committee of Sandal Magna Community Academy. We are a group of parents with children of varying ages at the school and we volunteer our time to arrange different fundraising events throughout the school year. All of the money we raise goes towards the school. The money can be used to support any ‘project’ that the school is working towards (for example the new school stage). Alternatively it can fund items that the school budget won’t stretch to. This can include requests from teachers and /or children and help to subsidise school trips.

Our fundraising events over recent years have included curry lunches, numerous cake sales, Jumble sales, summer fair and children’s disco. It’s not just about fundraising however. We also organise the very popular “Sandal Magna’s Got Talent” show with the help of the school and the children. This is an opportunity for us to give something back to the children to say thank you for all their hard work raising funds during the year.
